‘40 sessions today’ allows us to peer through someone else’s anonymous lens. We are mesmerized by their truth and awakened to seeing our self anew.
Hundreds of people have anonymously submitted personal stories of struggle and triumph, called “Sessions,” to this site. About 40 of these Sessions remain posted for the world to read at any given time. I invite you to read these stories of our friends, “these secret histories…(where) we should find in each man’s sorrow and suffering enough to disarm all hostility” (Henry Longfellow). If you read far enough you’ll discover a soulful gem that will touch you in a way that you need to be touched. An anonymous stranger may just awaken you to seeing yourself and your future anew. When you do see your story within someone else’s story, slow down, and write your story from your heart. Take your time. When you’ve finished, post your story so that others may grow in wisdom by peering through your lens, your wisdom, and into a new future of their own - a future where no one is alone.
